Alaska Glacier & Wildlife Sightings in the Kenai Fjords National Park & Prince William Sound

Gray Days

Though the weather has not been extremely cooperative, our boats have continued to take us out to see the beauty of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park. A storm in the Gulf of Alaska has stirred up the waters, which has kept many of the sea lions and nesting birds at their rookeries giving us a perfect picture opportunity. The clouds have detained some of the views of the  cirque glaciers , but when the clouds part just enough, the blue of the glaciers in eliminated, giving you a wonderful view of one of the multiple glaciers in the Kenai Fjords. The mountain sides are covered with lush foliage where the  majestic bald eagles rest, the mountain goats frolic, and the bares feast. The clouds may be gray, but the day will be full of many shades.
