Alaska Glacier & Wildlife Sightings in the Kenai Fjords National Park & Prince William Sound

The Trifecta!!!

Yesterday was the “best whale viewing day ever!” Though it was raining out, the water was calm all throughout Resurrection Bay, which made for a leisurelyboat ride. We saw every animal possible, ranging form puffins to Dall’s Porpoises. In the stretch between Rugged Island and Bear Glacier Orcas, Humpback Whales, and Fin Whales appeared. The Humpback and Fin whales were feeding off the coast, while the Orcas swam around the boat ,one even dived right under the boat! Our passengers and crew experienced a magnificant sighteverywhere they looked. Though the captians called it the “best whale viewing day ever,” there is always a chance to experience somthing on our boats that will out shine the trifecta!

I was on this tour and the Captain is not exaggerating! We saw everything except for a moose! It was a great day and I feel blessed to have seen so many different animals. Plus it was cool to see fin whales because I had never even heard of those!!! Quite special and unique. Thanks for a great day!!! The Captain, crew and Ranger were all wonderful!!!
